Exchange District business owners test new skating rink EXCHANGE DISTRICT (March 7, 2017) – Old Market Square in the Exchange District is now home to Winnipeg’s newest ice surface and public access skating rink. The new rink was spearheaded by local business owners and Exchange District BIZ board members, Nick Van Seggelen (Bodegoes) and Mike Del Buono (King + Bannatyne). The countdown is on for the largest free arts festival in Winnipeg. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg, a special project of Culture Days Manitoba, features over 80 events organized by businesses, organizations, independent artists, galleries, artisans, and more this Saturday, October 1, from 6pm to 4am. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg attracts thousands of people to three main communities– St. Boniface, Downtown and the Exchange District, the latter having the highest concentration of activity.
