When cozied up at home, there’s nothing quite like a good game to enjoy on a snowy afternoon. Winnipeg’s first Game cafe: Across the Board has a unique board game store offering everything from the Settlers of Catan to Cribbage.

One of their favourites, Azul, is a pattern building delight. Visually based on Portuguese azulejos (originally white and blue ceramic tiles), players take turns drafting coloured tiles from suppliers to their player board and score points based on how they’ve placed their tiles to decorate the palace.
