There have been some great films made in the Exchange District, from Academy Award winners to student films and everything in between. Filmmaking is as much a part of the historic Exchange District as music festivals, art galleries, and Old Market Square. That’s why the Exchange District BIZ invites all of Winnipeg to attend a day of free films made in the Exchange on National Canadian Film Day!
From 1-10pm on April 17, we’re screening films at Across the Board, Nonsuch, The King’s Head Pub, Winnipeg Cinematheque, and Forth. The day is designed so that viewers can visit all of these unique venues throughout the Exchange without missing a frame of their new favourite flick, or just pop into their favourite spot for a drink and a bite while the movie plays.
Members of the On Screen Manitoba and the Exchange District BIZ teams will be on hand with free buttons and info about the Manitoba filmindustry, and to answer any questions you may have about the films you’re watching.
