As many of you know, on August the 20th The Tragically Hip will be playing a historic show in Kingston, Ontario. The concert will be the final stop of their Man Machine Poem Tour in support of Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Foundation. in celebration of this epic show we are going to bring Winnipeggers together to support this same cause.
On Saturday August 20th at 6:00 pm The Cube, in Old Market Square, will be transformed in to a live screening of The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration live on the CBC. The park will feature LED screens that will create a concert-like atmosphere and will also be set up with a fully-licensed 18 + BEER GARDEN to ensure everyone who won’t get a chance to see The Tragically Hip in Winnipeg, will get to see our beloved Canadian National Icon on a historic day.
This is a FREE EVENT and is entirely for charity! We will be raising money for the Gord Downey Fund for brain cancer research at Sunnybrook Foundation in Ontario. All proceeds from beer sales, volunteers and donations will be going straight to the charity that The Tragically Hip have chosen to support on their tour.
