She is very connected to nature which determines her choice of subject matter. \nJulia’s championing of women artists through the ages comes from her feeling of their sparse representation in the art world. That’s why they are created in the form of portraits. She came to know their stories while she painted them in her studio that is surrounded by her companion trees.
