SUMMARY:A Number
DESCRIPTION:“A wonderfully unsettling triumph” – Independent \nWhat happens when you discover more than one YOU in the world? This psychological thriller explores themes of identity\, family dynamics and the ethics of scientific experimentation. \nBernard’s has contentedly navigated life as an only child. When his father reveals the truth about his place in the family order\, Bernard’s world is turned upside down. Father and son relationships can be complicated at the best of times but take on new meaning in a world where humans can be replicated. Caryl Churchill is at her unsettling best with this thought-provoking play about nature versus nurture\, the emotional impact of cloning and the moral implications of creating human beings for experimentation.

SUMMARY:Never Swim Alone by Daniel McIvor
DESCRIPTION:Two men enter a room. Two boys sit on a beach. They might be the same man\, and they might have been the same boy\, but it’s important that you know they are not. Two men\, mirror images\, haunted and bound by the boys they once were\, and a single moment during an endless summer.\nDaniel MacIvor’s dark comedy is a game of one-upping\, memory\, nostalgia and petty rivalry that bristles with tension and then explodes. A story about the one who wins\, and everyone and everything that gets left behind.\nWritten in 1991\, NEVER SWIM ALONE is eerily relevant today. \nFeaturing Jesse Bergen\, Ian Mikita\, Kerri Woloszyn\nDirected by Jane Walker\nStage Manager Kai Suzuki-Smith\nPresented by Snakeskin Jacket \nWednesday\, November 19 to Saturday\, November 22 at 7:30pm\nSunday\, November 23 at 2pm \nVideo Pool Media Arts Centre\n100 Arthur St

SUMMARY:ART TALK/ART WALK- Humour as Resistance: Reimagining History in Ink
DESCRIPTION:Join host Jasmine Tara for an Art Talk with Nyco Rudolph. \nNyco Rudolph’s “retro absurdist Canadiana” illustrations blend vintage poster style with sharp commentary.\nOnce playful and patriotic\, his work now confronts Canada’s more unsettling truths—featuring giant bisons crushing government buildings and satirical scenes that challenge national myths.\nNyco shares how humour\, history and responsibility guide his creative process\, and what it means for artists to spark dialogue through disruption.\nInsightful\, irreverent and visually unforgettable\, this session invites us to rethink how art responds to the world around us. \nHe’s currently busy writing and drawing his first solo graphic novel\, “Bear Country”. \nFree\, Everyone Welcome!\n100 Arthur Street\, 2nd floor\nThere is an accessible entrance off King Street.\nDoors Open at 5:30 • Art Talk at 6pm.\n7:15 pm – Guided Art Walk to a selection of galleries\, artist-run centres\, and artist studios
