SUMMARY:Soulful Seasons: Transitions of Change\, Solo Exhibition by Jordan Miller
DESCRIPTION:Soulful Seasons: Transitions of Change\, March 6 – April 4\, 2026\n210 Gallery\, 210 Princess St\, Winnipeg\, MB\nExhibition Hours:\nMarch 6: 10am to 9pm\nMarch 7 to April 4\, 10 am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday; Saturday 12-5pm.\nGood Friday\, April 3: 6-9pm (closed during daytime hours)\nWebsite:\nExhibitions | 210 Gallery\nArtist Statement\nReaching deep on an emotional level\, striving to create art infused with soul and beauty\, the works presented in this exhibition resonate beyond the surface idea of abstracted landscapes. This process has become an essential part of my artistic identity\, grounded in the exploration of emotion\, connection\, and reflection.\nEach piece unfolds through the layering of multiple alcohol ink colour blends\, manipulated through droplets\, brushes\, knives\, and other tools\, revealing complexity and harmony. The final layer\, featuring carefully and randomly placed lines and dots in acrylic\, suggests a journey that is more controlled than the flow of ink in the layers below\, while following the path presented. The dots move rhythmically across the surface like steps on a life map\, representing the paths we walk\, the choices we make\, and the passage of time.\nThe act of applying each dot is both deliberate and meditative\, a process that bridges the visual and the introspective. Working on these pieces reflects a moment of contemplation\, an opportunity to process the truths in the news\, in life\, and in my health journey. Each piece translates into something tangible\, luminous\, and deeply human.\nMy artwork continues to evolve as life around me changes. The big shifts that unfolded in 2025 have brought new perspectives\, adventures\, and moments to process\, each one finding its way into the work as it grows and transforms.\nJordan Miller\, a Winnipeg artist\, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 2002. She holds a diploma in Arts and Cultural Management from the University of Winnipeg. She was the founder and owner of cre8ery gallery & studio for 18.5 years before closing May 1\, 2025 to become a full-time artist and part time art mentor.\n\nShe was the recipient of the 35th Annual Woman of Distinction Award\, in the Arts Category (2011) and she was one of three finalists for the Future Leaders Of Manitoba Awards (2015).\n\nJordan has exhibited at Pulse Gallery\, Birchwood Art Gallery\, Fleet Galleries\, cre8ery\, Gallery Lacosse\, Urban Shaman Gallery\, Gallery 111\, outworks\, Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba Gift Shop\, Gallery in the Park\, Prairie Fusion\, Gallery 210\, and Golden Prairie Arts Council.\n\nShe is a member of Manitoba Society of Artists\, Creative Manitoba\, Manitoba Arts Network\, Artists AccessAbility Network Manitoba (and board member) and Mentoring Art for Women’s Art (MAWA). She is collected across Canada\, the United States and in several countries around the world.  She is collected by the Province of Manitoba and by Winnipeg incorporated businesses.

SUMMARY:The Last Wife
DESCRIPTION:“A very smart piece of writing” Chicago Tribune \nWith sharp dialogue and compelling characters\, this historical fight for power explores humanity through a contemporary lens. A funny and powerful dissection of patriarchy\, sexual politics and women’s rights. \nKatherine Parr\, a sharp and determined woman\, agrees to marry King Henry VIII on her own terms. As she asserts her agency and fights for equal rights for Henry’s daughters\, the volatile King struggles for control and authority. With a modern voice and fresh perspective\, Kate Hennig reimagines the intricate lives of these iconic historical figures.
