It’s easy, it’s attainable, and it’s cost effective, but it isn’t always easy to get motivated (especially in today’s quick and easy delivered-to-your-door lifestyle). Lemonade Stands for Hope in the Exchange

The Exchange District BIZ is proud to announce its participation in Lemonade Stands for Hope, a collaboration with CancerCare Manitoba. Working to benefit Manitobans from all walks of life, Lemonade Stands for Hope allows anyone and everyone across the province to set up their own stands, allowing people to purchase lemonade for 25 cents or make a donation in any sum to CancerCare from July 19-21. This Friday (July 19) from 11am-1pm the BIZ will set up its own lemonade stand at the corner of Waterfront and Bannatyne! The Alleyways Market in the Exchange has been going strong since 2016, and in 2018 we expanded the event to include swing/tango dancing and an art lounge at the Artspace Building. This year, we’d love to do even more. That’s where you come in. Do you have an idea for activating an alleyway in the Exchange District? Is there a project you’ve been wanting to get off the ground, but didn’t have the venue? Now is your chance! Brock Coutts is all smiles. Every time we see the owner of Patent 5 Distillery (the Exchange District’s whiskey, vodka and gin craft distillery & tasting room) he’s either giving a tour of the recently opened watering hole at 108 Alexander Avenue, or excitedly explaining the history of the repurposed pieces that went into creating his gorgeous tasting room.
