The Exchange District is one of Winnipeg’s top “bike-to” destinations. With ample bike parking, dozens of Bike Friendly Businesses, and pleasant, safe routes for a casual ride in, why not enjoy the fresh air and enjoy all that the area has to offer from a fresh perspective?

Bike Friendly Businesses

A joint initiative by the Exchange District and Downtown Winnipeg Business Improvement Zones, A Bike Friendly Business is one that openly supports and promotes cycling by offering services to people who ride bikes.

Central Winnipeg Loop

The Winnipeg Central Loop connects the neighbourhoods through clearly-marked, easy-to-navigate signs that will guide cyclists and invite Winnipeggers to venture from their communities to connect to other neighbourhoods. The Winnipeg Central Loop is designed for easy navigation and optimized for local discovery and exploration.

While the entire loop can be completed in about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace, the loop is designed to encourage people to stop and discover the many urban parks, landmarks and other attractions along the way, while supporting local businesses.

WINNIPEG TRANSIT

The Exchange District is one of the more connected service areas in the city. Many major bus routes filter into the Exchange District, including the 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 21, 24 and 22.
