COVID-19 Updates

Operational Updates, Community News, and Informational Resources

Last Updated: 1:00 PM, May 11, 2020

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our daily lives, The Exchange District BIZ continues to operate. And although our offices are physically closed to the public, we are still here to serve you.

• Our Foot Patrols continue to serve as eyes and ears on the street, and are available for safe-walks and to respond to uncomfortable situations when you call. They can be reached at 204-791-3161
• Our maintenance and beautification crew continue to work to keep the area as tidy as possible.
• Our Office staff are operating through a combination of working from home and some limited in-office time.

Supporting the Exchange

As the economic impact of COVID-19 is especially hard on ground-floor and public-facing businesses, if you’re able to, please consider supporting the businesses that are still open to the public in one form or another:

Restaurants

Order take-out or delivery from the restaurants that are still offering that service: 10-15 orders each day can make all the difference, so every single order counts.

Libations

If you need libations, please consider ordering directly or picking up from our local producers:

Retail and services

Board games, toys, grocery delivery, clothing, housewares, and supplies are available online and by special order directly from various Exchange District retailers:

Health and Fitness

To stay mentally and physically fit while socially distancing, online classes are available here:

Our partners at Economic Development Winnipeg have a complete toolkit of resources and supports available to you: Cov-19 Tool-Kit
