We are excited to introduce our new wayfinders! You can easily spot these new additions to our team out and about in the Exchange District, possibly even on bike!
Just as their name suggests our wayfinders are here to help you find your way around the Exchange District. Our area is growing fast, and we are introducing new active transportation infrastructure – like the new protected bike lanes,
that have been beautifully painted by local artists. And we want to be sure that we are making the area accessible and easy to navigate for all modes of travel.
Whether you need direction and information about lanes and biking programs in the area, help with parking, help taking full advantage of public transit, or just want some help getting around by foot – the wayfinders are here to help!
Our wayfinders, Olivia Michalczuk and Felipe Mogollon, both bring a wealth of expertise, as candidates for their Masters of City Planning at the University of Manitoba, and are passionate about advocating for a more comfortable public realm for cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists through the installation of the new cycling infrastructure.
They will be collecting data from businesses owners and visitors – including concerns, observations, and suggestions relating to new active transportation infrastructure, and will act as a bridge between the businesses in the Exchange District and the city of Winnipeg’s active transportation coordinators. They will also be here to educate motorists, pedestrians and cyclists on how to use the new active transportation infrastructure within the Exchange District. This include bike boxes, dedicated bike lanes, and raised bus stops.

ness campaign in partnership with the Downtown BIZ and starting tonight they will be helping with our First Fridays Bike-Ins!
In partnership with Natural Cycle we will be hosting three group rides from various points around the city – showing you how safe, easy, and fun it can be to bike to the area. Our Wayfinders, along with Natural Cycles experiences crew, will be there to guide you in and out, with tips and tricks along the way. And while you’re her
